Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 2026

Canonical URL: www.stryqbyte.com/privacy-1

This Privacy Policy outlines how Stryqbyte (“we,” “us”) manages information collection when you use stryqbyte.com, purchase or renew Stryq licenses, or contact us. Our approach to data security ensures that your information, including aggregated data, is handled appropriately. This policy does not replace your organization’s policies regarding data you transfer using Stryq software.

Stryq desktop software — what we do not collect

Stryq does not send file payloads, telemetry, update checks, or routine license validation requests to Stryqbyte, ensuring strong data security. There is no phone-home behavior in normal product operation.

File transfers are direct between machines you authorize, and aggregated data from these transfers is not stored in a Stryqbyte cloud file service. License validation is performed on the device using signed seat and activation files we issue to you, minimizing external information collection.

Audit logs, pairing trust, and transfer metadata (if enabled) are retained locally on your systems, ensuring they remain under your organization’s control.

Licensing — information you provide to us

To issue or renew a seat license, we require information you choose to provide us — typically by email or through a sales conversation — such as:

Machine ID (the hardware fingerprint from Stryq Settings) — necessary to bind an activation to a specific machine, ensuring data security.

Customer or company name — recorded with the seat token we issue.

Business contact details — for instance, name and email, which allow us to deliver the license bundle and support our ongoing relationship.

We use this information solely for the purposes of creating, delivering, renewing, or revoking licenses and for communicating with you regarding your entitlement. This careful information collection is vital, as we do not automatically receive Machine IDs from the Software.

Website and voluntary contact

When you use our contact form or email us at contact@stryqbyte.com, we collect the information you choose to submit, such as your name, company, email, and message. We utilize this information to respond to your inquiry while ensuring robust data security for all collected data. It’s important to note that we do not have a user account system on our website, so you are not required to create a profile to browse the site or share your aggregated data.

Hosting and cookies

Our website is hosted by GoDaddy, which may process standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps) in accordance with its own policies on data security. If you accept the cookie notice on our Site, GoDaddy may use cookies or similar technologies to measure aggregated data on website traffic. We do not use those tools for information collection regarding the contents of your Stryq file transfers.

How we use and share information

We use the information collected above to issue and support licenses, respond to inquiries, fulfill orders or quotes, and comply with the law, ensuring data security throughout the process. We do not sell personal information.

We may share aggregated data with service providers that assist us in operating email or website hosting, under confidentiality obligations, or when required by law. However, we do not share file payloads transferred between your Stryq endpoints.

Retention and security

We retain licensing and contact records as long as needed to support your entitlement, meet business requirements, and comply with law. Our information collection processes include reasonable steps to protect aggregated data; however, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of the personal information you provided to us, including any aggregated data, by contacting contact@stryqbyte.com. Please note that additional rights related to data security and information collection may apply depending on your jurisdiction.

Policy updates

We may update this policy from time to time to ensure the protection of aggregated data. The effective date at the top will change accordingly. Continued use of the website after updates signifies your acceptance of the revised policy regarding data security and information collection.
